I love my two year old

There is something totally magical about two year olds. Well, my two year old in particular. Last night, Bubby spent the night with his Nana and Papa. This morning when I picked him up, he was walking around their deck looking at the plants. I poked my head out of the sliding glass door and received the biggest grin from my little man. That just warmed my heart.

We talked for a moment about his night. He showed me the eyes on his frog themed pool. We jumped from one level of the deck to the next, over and over and over. Then, he pointed to the sky and said "Look Momma, the moon! See it? The moon." Nana walked outside to join us. Bubby said, "Nana, the moon. See it? There it is! The moon!" His vocabulary is taking off and I am complete awe. It is so cool to watch him develop.

Bubby is such a great kid. He has a great sense of humor. He loves to play and explore. This afternoon, his Uncle Venus came upstairs and Bubby immediately had to show him his toys in the living room. They sat on the couch and had a conversation. He looks so grown up sometimes!

After his playtime with Uncle Venus, Bubby and I went to the grocery store. He talked the whole time. Everyone that passed us just had to make a comment about him.

"He is beautiful."
"He is just so adorable."
"You have a great kid there."

I agree.

Yuck

Would it be bad to roll him over to the sink and use the spray nozzle
to get rid of the stickiness?

Maybe honey mustard wasn't the best choice

Here they are!

And here are all four peg doll necklaces that I made for
a special 3 year old's birthday. I love how these girls turned out!
I think the birthday princess liked them, too.

This brunette beauty is my favorite!

This one has blonde hair and blue eyes just like the birthday girl :)

I love this doll's black hair!

I ran out of super cute ribbon, but her dress is cute enough!

I made this cute gift box from an empty kleenex box!

I am in a super crafty mood

Bubby and I have a birthday party to go to on Friday for a high school friend's daughter's 3rd birthday. Since I am broke, I figured that I should make something. While stumbling around the web, I found the cutest thing in the whole wide world. I made four of these cute girly things. It was fun making something for a little girl. I also embellished a silly little something with pink ribbon and pink beads. And then I turned a Kleenex box into a pink gift box and topped it off with pink tissue paper. Then I made a pink card with pink (and purple) flowers on it. I thought about using some pink glitter or a pink glitter glue pen, but I had to stop with the pink!

PINK PINK PINK PINK and some more PINK

Sorry that I am being so vague. I just don't want the momma of the birthday girl to know what the gift is before the party. I will update this with pictures after the party on Friday...

Bubby's first trip to Woodland Park Zoo

We had a nice time at the zoo, even though Seattle hit a record high that day! 104 degrees is a little much. Bubby enjoyed the penguins, bears and otters. But I think the 'ants were his favorite. "What are 'ants?" you ask? ElephANTS, of course!

Blogspot is not the easiest program to move pictures around. I have tried for 15 minutes to get these pictures in order according to our day (or at least have penguin pictures together, bear pictures together, etc.) This drives me nuts! The edit window is so small and things never turn out the way that it shows! UGH!! In fact, just after I typed this part at the bottom of this post, I viewed the updated blog. And all of this rambling was in the middle, all throughout the pictures. UGH UGH!!!!

And then, I really thought that I had it right this time. BUT NO!!!!! Third time is the charm?

Nope, fourth? Fifth? Sixth time?

OK, so the eight time editing did the final trick. How irritating!

Hope you enjoy our pictures :)

Happy Birthday Bubby

Birthday dinner @ Nana & Papa's house

Nana & Papa gave Bubby a Car Track Rug! He loves his cars!

Dinner must have been good. He has a food goatee.

And the cake was gone in an instant!

Bubby has such a great time helping Nana with her gardening.
That is if "helping" is opening the greenhouse door and closing it, and opening and closing and opening and closing.

And there the van still sits. One day...
